Pub around the corner
An Tigh Seinnse is the local pub round the corner serving excellent meals. Further away restaurants can be found in Port Charlotte at the Port Mor Campsite and the Port Charlotte and Lochindaal Hotels.
Be sure to take a walk down past the pub to the public footpath on the cliffs – the best place for sunset pix and perfect for a wee dram or a glass of wine.
15 minutes away is the neighbouring village of Port Charlotte with its two pubs, shop and restaurants.
The seafood platter from An Tigh Seinnse, the pub around the corner, is an absolute must. Fresh from the boats in the harbour, it’s delicious and portions are very generous. Be sure to order 24 hours in advance.
Currie Sands, Portnahaven’s local beach is accessible via a beautiful coastal cliff walk. Spectacular in all weathers.
Bruichladdich distillery is a 20 minute drive away along one of Islay’s most spectacular coastal roads.
Our property managers can advise you on bespoke whisky tours for those who do not wish to drive to the distilleries and we ourselves provide whisky tours to Islay as well. For more info visit www.yardarmtours.com
