A Modern Home in Portnahaven next to the Atlantic Ocean
Yardarm Cottage offers premium holiday accommodation in the heart of beautiful Portnahaven village. On the ground floor our spacious cottage is fully equipped, offering two lounge spaces with TV and fireplace and a large modern kitchen/dining area. Upstairs are three large bedrooms each with a generous en-suite bathroom. The front of the cottage offers sea and harbour views and looks out over the famous Rhinns of Islay lighthouse.
Exterior
Portnahaven is a special place. Atlantic Islay at its wild best. Standing at our front door you look out over the Atlantic to Ireland.

Our first cozy lounge area has a sofa and lounge chair with fireplace, books, magazines and stereo system.
Kitchen & Dining
The kitchen is a light and airy space, fully equipped with a nespresso machine, microwave, two ovens and other kitchen essentials so guests will feel at home.

Upstairs, three good sized bedrooms, 2 kings and 1 twin are comfortable, warm and cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
Twin Ensuite Bedroom
The Twin Bedroom is at the back of the house and gives access to a fabulous bathroom.

All bathrooms are generous ensuites, 2 with walk in showers and 1 with a fabulous Japanese-style soaking tub large enough for 2.

Our nearest food is served at the local pub An Tigh Sennse, just 2 minutes walk around the corner.
Other restaurants can be found in Port Charlotte at the two pubs, the Seafood Kitchen and the Port Mor Campsite.
Sunset Tip!
Be sure to take a walk down past the pub to the public footpath on the cliffs – the best place for sunset pix and perfect for a wee dram or a glass of wine.
Neighbouring Village
15 minutes away is the neighbouring village of Port Charlotte with its two pubs, shop and restaurants.

All distilleries are an easy drive away and provide the driver with a takeaway dram. The local bus service also serves Bruichladdich, Bowmore, Port Ellen, Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries.
