Booking & Info


Yardarm Cottage can be booked on a weekly basis throughout the year. However, please feel free to contact us as we can also offer short breaks with a minimum stay of four nights.

To book Yardarm Cottage click on the Saturday you want to arrive followed by a click on the Saturday you want to leave. A booking form will open. After providing your details you can make a payment by Paypal or Credit Card in which case the booking is confirmed. If you choose to pay via Bank Transfer your booking will show pending until your bank transfer has arrived on our bank account.

When making a booking you can choose to make a payment with Paypal or Bank Transfer.

Your booking requires a 25% deposit. The75% balance plus £50 damage deposit is due 2 months before check-in date. Assuming no damages have been incurred, your damage deposit will be refunded no later than one week after check-out.

Check is in from 4pm on day of arrival and guests are requested to check out by 10am on day of departure.

All heating and electricity costs are included in the price of your stay. Logs for wood burning stove are provided in winter. Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. The cottage has excellent wi-fi. We provide a Nespresso machine and a starter pack of Nespresso pods; please bring your own if you prefer a specific style or if you drink a lot of coffee!

The garden is currently inaccessible from the cottage as it requires some landscaping and renovation works to ensure it is safe for guest access. The garden is therefore not included within the rental agreement. If you choose to enter the garden it is at your own risk and access should be via walkway to the side of the next door property. We will be undergoing garden renovations later this year to ensure the garden is accessible for the 2020 season.

If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason please notify us by email as soon as possible. In the event of a cancellation we will make every effort to re-let the property. If we are able to re-let the property, you will be reimbursed in full. However, we strongly advise that you take out travel insurance to cover unanticipated cancellations.

If we are unable to re-let the property, cancellation costs shall be incurred as follows:
More than 2 months before check in date your deposit shall be forfeited
Less than 2 months before check in date you will be liable to pay the full cost of rental (i.e. deposit and full balance).

Adverse Travel Conditions:
Where there are ferry/ plane disruptions due to bad weather conditions or for any other reason, we cannot be held responsible and so no refunds can be provided. However, if your stay is cancelled due to bad weather conditions and you choose to stay with us another time we will offer you a very competitive rate.

You agree to keep Yardarm Cottage clean and tidy and leave it in a similar condition of cleanliness to when you arrived. Any additional cleaning of the property beyond the normal amount reasonably required may be charged as extra and deducted from your damage deposit.

Yardarm Cottage is strictly no smoking and we don’t accept pets, sorry. Where there is evidence of smoking or pets inside the property your damage deposit will be forfeited.

You agree to report any breakages or damages to us prior to your departure in order that these can be rectified for incoming guests. Any unreasonable breakages will be charged at market rate and deducted from your deposit.
